Product Information
I keep reading about beauty company’s holy grail product in the last 4 weeks now and personally, I’m not really sure which among the SkinCeuticals Simply Clean, Gentle Cleanser and Clarifying Cleanser is the company’s most desired product when it comes to skin cleansing. I’ve talked about my inclination to try SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser and Clarifying Cleanser in the previous articles because of my sporadic bout with skin sensitivity and acne. Then again, someone mentioned about another product from SkinCeuticals –their Simply Clean and I know that I just have to know more about it.
The company’s official website: www.skinceuticals.com stated that SkinCeuticals Simply Clean is “ideal for combination or oily skin”. Now, I don’t know about you but I feel like I need to know the definition of “combination” to understand the product’s capability to care for the skin.
“Combination skin”, according to Annet King – Director of Global Education for Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute from a www.teenvogue.com article, “is the most common skin type.” It’s having both oily parts of the skin (the T-zone for most people) and dry parts. Combination skin is really hard to treat because you don’t know which to address first. But with SkinCeuticals Simply Clean’s promise to look after this type of skin, you may not need to worry about things like: “Am I going to clean my T-zone first with one product and the rest of my face with another?”. You’ve got to admit that it’s quite daunting to choose which treatment works best for your face with so many skin improvement products available in the market today.
SkinCeuticals Simply Clean has 1% hydroxy acids, botanical extracts and oil-free exfoliating formula with gentle foaming action for normal or oily skin (and if you frequent their website, you would know I’ve actually copied this verbatim from the product’s “Ingredients” tab). So, Simply Clean exfoliates, clarifies and removes the skin’s excess oil while addressing the dry spots as well.
One beauty blogger that I follow is Natalie Cottrell at www.nataliecottrell.blogspot.com and she uses Simply Clean everyday when washing her face. In fact, SkinCeuticals Simply Clean seem to be the choice of not only beauty professionals but of health professionals too. Heather Nicole Dorak (the owner of Pilates Platinum Hollywood, Brentwood, Venice Beach and Santa Monica) from www.pilatesplushbv.blogspot.com said:
Everyone has their own private skin care routine, all at different levels of complexity. I have always been someone who likes simplicity in routines, so lucky for me I found the perfect skin care line.
Skinceuticals has a line that provides all levels of cleansing your skin, in addition to providing protection from UV rays.
My favorite products are their Simply Clean, Equilizing Toner, Phloretin CF, and their Hydrating B5 gel.
I’m not really picky when it comes to buying things like make up and lipsticks but when it comes to skin treatment products, I can”t afford to have a spur of the moment”-buy because of the way my face responds to them. But with the SkinCeuticals line (I’m using their Daily Moisture), it seems so easy to just go ahead and try. I’m confused though. I don’t know which to try in their skin cleansing line first. What do you think? If you were me, would you go and try the SkinCeuticals Simply Clean, Gentle Cleanser or Clarifying Cleanser?
