Product Information

There is something that you all should know about SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF.  It comes in 2 forms: serum and gel.  The newest technology from Skinceuticals delivers a gel formed product that acts like a serum.  Fancy and interesting facts, right?  Right.  But can Phloretin CF deliver?  Let’s find out.

I’ve been learning a few things about SkinCeuticals in general for several days now.  I’ve written about its CE Ferulic product and have actually started using its Daily Mositure for 3 days now (I haven’t used it long enough to develop an opinion however).  I’m not vain enough to use every skin antioxidant available in the market today (or one that I happen to write about) so most of my articles are just brought about by untiringly hunting the web about people who actually use SkinCeuticals products –in this case the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF.

What is SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF?

SkinCeuticals’ official site said that it’s a preventive and corrective topical antioxidant treatment.  Like the company’s Pigment Regulator, it’s formulation is patent-pending.

According to the makers of the product the original serum formulation has 3 major components:  phloretin, vitamin C and ferulic acid.

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Original Formulation

Phloretin CF®, a broad-spectrum treatment, protects against not only free radicals, but the range of other reactive molecules known to cause damage and DNA mutations among the integral cell types. In addition, it corrects existing damage by stimulating the synthesis of essential proteins and fibers and accelerating cell turnover. The result — a strengthened support structure on the inside and a more youthful, firm, radiant appearance on the outside.

The same is true with the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel.  More specifically,

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel

Formulated with an optimized acid combination of 2% phloretin, 10% vitamin C, and 0.5% ferulic acid, this serum-in-a-gel protects skin from the range of reactive molecules known to cause DNA mutations and damage among the integral cell types. This trusted antioxidant trio also accelerates cell turnover and stimulates collagen synthesis to boost skin’s structure for a firmer, brighter complexion.

Phloretin is  a natural phenol present in apple tree leaves  and used as antioxidant.  When fused with the right amount of vitamin C and ferulic acid, it’s supposed to do wonders in protecting and healing your skin.  This is consistent with the fact that SkinCeuticals use natural ingredients as much as possible.

How would you use SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF?

Use it preferrably in the morning on a clean, dry face.  You may apply it on your neck and chest as well.  Follow with a moisturizer or hydrating gel and a sunscreen for protection.

Or you can read this product review from styleapothecary.com with tips on how to use the product.

I am thrilled!! I use in the am, it’s the first thing I put on.. It’s a lightweight gel that has a ouch of an orange yellow color & is transparent too.. It smooths over my face and feels like silk.. It’s instantly absorbs and sinks right in.. I follow up with a moisturizer and sunscreen.. I am telling you that usually moisturizer and sunscreen aren’t enough to prevent the flaky so I know Phlortin is working.. It also has a light scent, reminds me of what my bottle of vitamins smells like..

What do SkinCeuticals Phloretic CF users have to say about the product?

Most people who use the product are happy.  They say that they have seen changes in their skin after 2 to 3 weeks of using.  One such user, surprisingly love it for its smell more than its effectiveness, oh well, we’re all entitled to our own opinion.

With rave reviews, SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF is proven to diminish age spots, provide protection against photodamage and improve our skin’s collagen synthesis.  Basing from all the positive reviews, I can safely say that the product can indeed deliver.  So if you’re one of the many people who wish to retain your skin’s youthful glow, I say, you should give SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF (may it be in serum or gel form) a try.
